so if steam worked like a phonebook with people flipping through alphabetically, there'd probably be a ton of games called !!!A and stuff like that.

Apple Computer supposedly chose that name because it would come before Atari in the phone book, and then Acorn did the same thing to Apple
i believe there is a youtube series where a guy is playing through steam games alphabetically, and indeed there are a ton of games whose names start with punctuation for... no apparent reason outside of alphabetical sorting? (theres also games that use them in the title for like, aesthetic reasons too)
Yeah, this guy! His videos are pretty interesting tbh, worth having a look. Will probably be a little while until he makes the next one as he's just got onto the .hack games. He might be done with punctuation in a few months, before the incredibly long list of games starting with a number.

yeah they are pretty neat videos. and have also introduced me to the idea of the Achievement Farmer because some of these games are obviously just for people looking to get chievos and emotes and backgrounds and stuff for their steam collection which like SUPER baffles me like i thought the point of achievements was to prove you've done cool things in games?
