one of my favorite things about Uses This is that daniel, the editor, maintains a little database of all of the pieces of hardware and software mentioned in the interview. here's everything new from my interview, including such hardware as "PowerEdge R620" and "Kitty Ears for Razer Kraken", and such software as "illumos" and "Talon". (perhaps most amusing is the weird stuff that was already in the database.)

I always like reading folks' usethis posts. It helps me find additional stuff I wouldn't be able to know about otherwise.
Daniel had reached out to me back in like 2016, and when I finally went to return my answer like a few months later, either his email address had changed, or the site was down, or something (I could have sworn at one point it was handed off to other folks?) but I wasn't able to get in touch with him.
And now that email address and email chain is gone entirely because it was tied to a free google workspace. RIP
