you know the product is good when the SKU includes the amount of it that comes in the package. volume is the primary bullet point here

I've never looked into it deeply but as far as I can tell, they literally exist to sell things that nobody else will sell because they're insufficiently high yield. So in addition to their fairly normal everyday stuff like that, they also are a very reliable supplier of shit like firewire PCIe cards that you just can't rely on finding elsewhere in the market because they're not an obvious million unit mover. Their tagline is literally "hard to find, made easy" because they're the one company you'll find making an obscure adapter that you need for some highly specific purpose. That doesn't go quite as far as I wish it did, but they still seem like they're consciously filling a niche and that's always neat to see in the dark days of the end of capitalism as a remotely functional system

Yeah they make cheap little things that tend to be more reliable than the random six letter brands, they've been around for ages and are usually the answer when you need some weird kind of adapter. If Startech doesn't make it the answer is probably "you gotta get some wire and some plugs off aliexpress and make it yourself".

Yeah I fucking love Startech, if you go to Canada Computers (a country-wide chain with a mom-and-pop vibe, somehow) they have an entire fucking WALL of StarTech adapters that are extremely useful for extremely specific situations one may find oneself in as a Computer Dweeb
