Under the present economic conditions there may not be any such thing as a "working business model" for websites. But it's probably fine that all of our economic growth for the past 20 years has been websites. It's fine. Nothing is fundamentally wrong here, and the fact that it's not being acknowledged or corrected for at a political level definitely will not have vast and terrible consequences.
