trace along the family tree, one step at a time, and then concatenate shortened forms of each stepwise relationship. the shortened forms simply take the first syllable of existing basic kinship terms.

- father -> fa, pa, or dad
- parent: par, pa, or rent
- sister: si, sih, sis
- brother: bro or bruh
- sibling: si, sih, sib, or ling
- son: son, so, suh, or sun
- daughter: da, dau, or daught
- child: chi or chai
- wife: wi or wai
- husband: hu, hus, or hub
- spouse: spouse, spou, or spau
