- if it ends in a vowel, add -esque
- if it ends in a consonant, add -ian
examples:
- Nirvana-esque. Ghibli-esque. Kafkaesque
- Gecsian. Fromsoftian. Lynchian

Words ending in -er (or a similar sound) tend to sound better with -esque, in my experience, though I'm sure there are exceptions
Examples: Chauceresque, Shatneresque, Escheresque, Gigeresque, Dangeresque, etc.
