many children's shows have a cast of recurring characters who are little more than one-dimensional archetypes. here are a few examples:

  • the spoiled, snobby, blonde "mean girl" character. her daddy is rich and she's probably a cheerleader. she may get a weird amount of focus for character development in later seasons
  • the big, dumb, mean, generic "bully" character. may look much older than other characters, or just be really wide. probably wears a backward baseball cap and t-shirt and loose jeans. he may turn out to be secretly insecure, or lashing out because of problems at home.
  • the fat, comedic relief "best friend" character. his character traits at the start of the show may include cowardice, gluttony, and joking at inappropriate times. he's probably one of two friends that the main character has, in order to establish the main character as a relatable uncool nerd.
