imo baguettes should just keep getting longer and longer over time. this should be state policy in France. every year they should send out baguette inspectors to make sure baguette length quotas are being met. there should be a five-year-plan to double baguette lengths. public infrastructure should be reframed and reshaped to accommodate ever-lengthening baguettes, until the baguettes themselves are infrastructure, strands of perfectly steam-baked crusty bread winding their ways through the streets and into homes, never stopping, never ending, a bread delivery service made of bread
