played some legend of bumbo this night on a whim, as I honestly forgot about it and it just popped into my head. had a very fun time.
if you are not familiar - it's a puzzle roguelike i suppose, and a strategy game maybe? it's all about moving tiles on a board to do different effects (damage, gain movement, blocks, and disables) as well as get mana to use your spells. it serves as a prequel to the binding of isaac, from the same developer Edmund McMillen (so you also know that means it is all gross lmao)
it isnt my typical kind of game, but i had a real fun time! it's nice to just sit there and think and ponder about whats going on and what you want to do. especially with the char I was playing, whose gimmick is using mana to move rows and columns. all the board manipulation felt great to play with, and was fun to get rolling. I didnt take a single hit and finished most encounters in one (long) turn. reminds me I need to play more strategy games as I do enjoy them! Like FTL or Into the Breach.
100% a game I need to get onto my tablet at some point, as it does have android and ios versions.
