Eminem in Fortnite got me reflecting on how bad Eminem sucks and has sucked throughout the years

Eminem's problem is that he's a very technically gifted rapper but he doesn't know how to write good songs. He can make one hundred words rhyme with each other and say them fast as hell but he's not actually saying anything worth listening to most of the time and it doesn't work as a cohesive package. "Stan" is just about the only one I'll give him without qualms, that song is genuinely very very good. "Lose Yourself" is fine I guess but it's army recruitment music. His ear for beats is also terrible because he won't work with the Bass Brothers anymore and Dr. Dre isn't monitoring him as closely and also everyone around him is scared to say no to him so he can rap on whatever dogshit he wants. One of the most famous and successful rappers of all time. If you've heard a terrible white rapper in your day there's a very good chance they were inspired by Eminem

I watched the whole Ken & Friends ~ The Pop Out concert last night and they played "Stan" in full between Mustard and Kendrick's sets, and I have to retract this statement. I hadn't listened to it in a while, and I was wrong as hell. Eminem has never made a single good song ever, and all of his albums are trash from the garbage.

if folks liked him as kids, back in the late 90s early 2000s, i get it. i wasn't a fan myself, but like. I get it. but dude had like, a genuinely atrocious three album run with MMLP2, Revival and Kamikaze, and yet there are still folks out there defending him as one of the GOATs and I just don't understand.

I would argue the atrocious album run also includes Encore, Relapse, and Recovery but yea calling him one of the best ever today is wild. I still don't really like The Slim Shady LP, The Marshall Mathers LP, and The Eminem Show but I understand them as a solid trilogy because he had more to say on them and the beats were better. I think MMLP1 is probably his best because it has Stan, and because Bitch Please II is good until Eminem himself shows up and fucks it all up. Snoop Dogg calling Eminem "The Great White American Hope" on there is really funny
