NAME: Court of Ire.
DESCRIPTION: Each episode, my cohost and I look at an unusual or controversial manifestation of the color pie. We debate whether it meaningfully expands our understanding of the color pie or just flops.
EXAMPLE 1: The green dryad Wrenn got her spark when a forest fire threatened her and the forest she protected. Her spark ignited as she absorbed the fire into her body; her task now is to get rid of it. Given the ecological role of forest fires as a necessary part of nature, is this origin story a flavor-pie failure, or does it the relationship between black and green?
EXAMPLE 2: The M15 printing of Lightning Strike has the flavor text "To wield lightning is to tame chaos." Obviously "lightning" and "chaos" are unambiguously red... but does the word "tame" compromise the redness of this card, or teach us something about redness?
