it can be corny to compare your hobby, even if it's an artistic one, to actual political work. that said, i do think there's one thing that tabletop roleplaying games and leftist organizing have in common: for every five or six people in your group, only one or two will have actually done the reading. you should probably plan for this

In my experience, we call that person the DM. Also, usually, unfortunately, just me.
And in either, the most insufferable people are those who focus only on doing the reading
