This room is an overgrown open-air plaza with a chessboard engraved on its floor. Every piece except the black queen present in its starting location. The board beckons the party with wistful magic.
Should anyone take the queen's place, they will be possessed by an ancient, solemn queen named Shach. Her past is characterized by an impulse to escape, which became a fight response near the end of her life. She explains (through whoever she is possessing) that she murdered her cruel husband, but his last words cursed her to roam the world as a ghost. She misses having a body, and she hurriedly asks you to let her co-front with you, even if it's just letting her sit in your body for an hour in this room. She truly does understand if you decline and won't possess you by force.
There is (1) one gate leading elsewhere in the city, covered by shrubs, and another large, vine-kissed building with (2) double doors.
