This hall is decked with bookshelves on either side. Each bookshelf is filled with twenty-page pamphlets, with each word chosen seemingly independently at random. A naked monk sits in a chair, reading the pamphlets one at a time. Beside him is a fire, where he tosses the texts that he does not especially appreciate; also beside him is a pile of approximately fourteen texts he has deemed high-quality, and bound in vellum.

"Please! Take one!" he offers. "I am within them, and small gods are within them!" The books in the pile are oddly entertaining, but not gripping or cogent; improvise the contents to be extreme versions of the reader's beliefs. If read for an hour, it will likely begin to take on spiritual significance with the reader. If pored over for a total 24 hours, the reader will likely want to start a cult, or at least have ideas on what kind of cult they would start. No magic is involved in this process.

Part of my dungeon23 project.

This is a short hallway littered with suits of armor, each armed with the same weapon (the most prominent weapon among the party) but one near the end. The unarmed suit is extending its hand, as if begging to be armed; it emanates the magic of covenants, nobility, questing, and zeal. If it is given a weapon of any kind, it will animate, scream "THANK YOU! I CAN COMPLETE MY QUEST! YOU WON'T DIE AGAIN, PRINCESS!" and start dashing down the hallway. As it happens, the door at the end busts right open when kicked down; the suit will keep going until it hits a wall and clatters into a pile of armor once more. The weapon will be completely repaired, polished, and sharpened.
