Idk if this is a life hack but I think this is what a life hack is:
Do you struggle remembering whether the markdown convention is [text](url) or (text)[url]? I sure did, until I said to myself: "The parentheses are like a whisper. The stuff in the parentheses doesn't get said out loud, and therefore the url must be in the parentheses." I've never forgotten it since.
