the worst thing about talking of dune in finnish is the name harkonnen. it's just a mistyped finnish last name that frank herbert picked off a phone book.
many finnish last names end in -nen, and it is a special syllable with its own grammar, as most words have to end in a vowel. originally the name was probably either harkkonen or härkönen, but adding the extra n makes it impossible to use the regular -nen grammar. I can't use it without constantly stumbling over my words. I just say harkkonen.
