Septagram Internet Hazard Catalogue Entry 44 - [One World Story]

Hazard type: Digital
Vector: Network
Danger: Non-lethal/Low disruption
Range: Limited

One World Story was a social media website that peaked in popularity between 2007 and 2008, eventually becoming defunct in 2014. Since approximately November 2016, the phrase "One World Story" will sometimes replace the text in the logomarks for existing social media websites during page load. Newer, virally popular websites are affected disproportionally. The mechanism of this phenomenon is not currently understood.

Filtering is not available at this time.

the cohost logo generator reminded me of this post, which heartbreakingly (but completely understandably) doesn't work anymore. It really did replace the logo when it was first posted though

i wonder if it'd be possible to use some css wizardry to detect whether the post is wide or narrow, and compensate for viewing it in the feed or by itself

...huh. that'd require editing it, and i have no idea if editing this would drag it into the current age of posting and shatter it. if it didn't, that would have implications best discussed with staff
