Sometimes I do a nice little project I'm proud of, so I am going to share this one I did recently.

I had this big container of l'occitane pure shea butter that Sephora sent me by accident a while ago but since it's pure shea butter it is very hard to use and so I mostly didn't, but I knew it was just going bad and it seemed like such a waste, so I melted it all down in a double boiler and added some grapeseed oil and this other face oil that I never use and then cooled it on some ice to temper it and whipped it until it was thick and white and now I have a nice heavy occlusive cream that I can actually use without having to dig at it.

And that was my nice little project this week. Feel free to share your recent nice little projects too.

More of a preparation for future nice little projects, but I finally got a rotary blade for cutting fabric. I've just been using scissors, or sometimes ripping for straight lines, this will make things much neater and faster.

Not yet, the sale at the local fabric store was so good that a lot of basic tools had sold out already, but I've got a tab open on my phone to order one. Since I was just making up the last two quilts as I went along I didn't care so much about precision, but now I'm following a pattern I should probably be a little more attentive....
