finally a place to talk about pens

  • she/her

I write shouts, grumbles, antagonistic monologues, etc. etc.

& I'm on a podcast

So I got myself this Drehgriffel Monocle a few months back and I love it so much, but it came with a ballpoint ink refill and I find plain ballpoint generally too slow/stodgy to write with, so I swapped it out with a very well reviewed fine point Monteverde gel refill for capless pens thinking that even though gel often dries out easily the CAPLESS thing meant it would be fine. For the first few days it was fine, amazing even, but now it is so unusably skippy unless I scribble like crazy before writing anything with it, and I'm super salty about this, especially while I have other capless gel pens that are super reliable (my beloved Sarasa Grands.....)

LMK if you know any really good P42 gel refills for a capless pen. ๐Ÿ™

The P42 is a Parker style refill, right? Parker makes a gel refill that will drop in the Jotter just fine. I'm trying to find the Jotter I've got one of those refills in...I liked it when I first tried it.

Uni also makes their Jetstream in Parker refills now too. They call those models the SXR-600. I'd heard good things?
