blegh, already less than a week left, huh...

i've reviewed my drafts a few more times but i'm not really comfortable posting any more of them, so i'll summarize the last ones i'd like to note down

  1. one of my favorite things about cohost was how weird everyone was allowed to be. frankly there was like 20% of my timeline that wasn't even my thing, and in any other platform i'd probably just silently unfollow, but i really enjoyed seeing people finally find a place where they genuinely felt like they could be themselves and express themselves and find people who understood them. i hope everyone finds ways they continue to be themselves, even if it's just on personal websites.

  2. i never finished this draft past the title, but the message feels important as we may transition into higher RSS usage.
to all artists: you are seen. cohost gave us a platform where people commented much more than usual, but as we move onto new places, remember that you will have many fans that don't interact with your work. there are people who see your work and become inspired to create their own. there are people out there who save your art and look at it regularly. there are people who smile every time they see you post. maybe you don't believe me, maybe you think your art is just too small or not good enough. but even if you've changed a single person's life with your art in some way, that's pretty amazing, isn't it?

  1. saving the least serious one for last. i doubt anyone remembers, but remember that one time my bookmarks draft went public and i contacted staff for fear of a glitch? i never followed up on what happened because i was actually immensely embarrassed. they told me "you definitely published it at this timestamp!"
then my memories came back, and apparently i was so unbelievably sleepy that i accidentally posted it, saved it as a draft again, deleted the post, THEN completely forgot about the entire incident and emailed staff about a ghost post that received a like despite not being on my profile.
    absolutely hilarious
