Okay some of these might be more subtextual or me wearing yuri goggles. Numbered but unordered.

1. Gundam Witch From Mercury

Chuchu Panlunch punching the girl reading this

It's a very strong Gundam so far. It takes place at a school for training the next generation of mecha pilots and capitalist oligarchs, students fight in duels which serve as proxy battles for a cold war between a bunch of capitalist oligarchs. There's a system in place and a girl from Mercury fucks it all up. And then on top of that, a 5'7 nervous girl is dating a 5'4 angry girl. Also there's a girl with big fluffy pink hair.

2. Bocchi The Rock

the bocchi the rock girls drawn in as chibi characters playing their instruments

The story starts with a girl with social anxiety named Hitori Gotoh who wants to be in a band to help get over her social anxiety. She joins a band by the end of episode 1, but trying to contribute to its success often places her in situations outside her comfort zone. However, this doesn't stop Hitori from trying her best even if her best isn't very good. It's a kind series that isn't afraid to make her mess up. However, it doesn't revel in her failures. Instead it mostly has elaborate imagine spots featuring a variety of different types of animation styles or artistic mediums to illustrate how far into her own head. Also their lead guitarist/vocalist has a crush on their bassist (who doesn't deserve being crushed on by anyone).

3. Ya Boi Kongming

Eiko and Nanami staring at each other in the end credits

Okay so for this one, uh, the Romance of the Three Kingdoms strategist for Shu, Liu Bei, dies wishing to see a peaceful world. He wakes up in modern day Japan and gets enmeshed in Tokyo's music and party scene by becoming the manager/strategist of aspiring singer Eiko. From there, he helps her establish a name for herself to become a professional singer. But more importantly, Eiko manages to meet Nanami and they instantly become Very Good Friends. The story isn't just a weird premise, it has actual legs and is worth experiencing. The fact that it has two girlfriends is just making it better.

4. The Guy She Was Interested In Wasn't A Guy At All

the first page of the comic. Aya is looking at Mitsuki. Aya is a gyaru. Mitsuki is wearing a hoodie with the hood up and a black facemask, making her look androgynous and making Aya think that she's a boy. Aya's narration in panels 1 and 2: "At the record shop I sometimes go to, there's someone I can't get off my mind lately." Aya's thoughts in panel 3: "The guy always at the counter, looking just a little bored, and always dressed head to toe in black. Cute today as well."

So this is a webcomic by Arai Sumiko, @ agu_knzm on twitter about a gyaru who isn't normally interested in guys and gets interested in this guy who works at this music shop she goes to. The twist being of course that the guy is actually a girl who is dressed androgynously (and coincidentally, they actually sit next to each other at school). It's a story of young love as their relationship develops and they grow closer to each other. Highly recommended. Updates weekly with 4 pages of comic on the artist's twitter account, linked earlier.

5. I Don't Know Which One Is Love

Mei staring at Riri's chest in a low-cut swimsuit. Mei is thinking "The hell?! SWIMSUITS ARE CRAZY!!"

This is a yuri comic by Tamamusi about a girl named Mei. Mei gets rejected by her crush at the end of high school and vows to get girlfriends in college. Then a lot of girls who she falls hard for are even thirstier for her than she is for them. Very wish fulfillment. Very good. Lesbians bursting at the seams. ๐Ÿ˜Œ

Honorable(?) Mention: Lycoris Recoil

Thematically this anime is a mess. I liked the guns and fights but the further away from the series I get, the less I think of it. Maybe watch it if you finished everything else on this list and want something mid to watch.
