is the fact that you will regularly find yourself greeting any medium-sized white or light-colored object you see at the edge of your vision before you realize that is not a cat
- plastic bag. doesn't matter where i set it down. on the table or the floor, cats can be anywhere and white plastic bags can be cats now according to my brain
- canvas tote bag. see above
- jug of carpet cleaner. not only is it cat-sized but cat-shaped when it's blurry
- costco roll of garbage bags
- star projector (normally too small to meet the 'cat-sized shape' qualification but it was dark and i was half-asleep)
- toilet (i was high and taking a shower in the dark. saw a white thing through the shower curtain when i turned around and said hi to it before i realized my mistake)
- electric kettle that i left on the floor after using it to clear a bathroom drain
there are definitely more but those are the ones immediately coming to mind lol
