i unironically love that there's an insanely catchy bluegrass song about a really fat bear and almost every upload of it on youtube has at least one truther in the comments insisting that the song is actually about bigfoot and/or the dogman but johnny horton was censored by THE GOVERNMENT and told to make the song about a bear as if the government really cares that someone would make a goofy bluegrass song about bigfoot causing mischief in them there hills. come on lol

You know, I’ve never thought of Johnny Horton as bluegrass, but now that you’ve classified him that way, I’m not sure what other genre I’d put him in.
