Last year, I ordered a Keyboardio Model 100 as part of their Kickstarter.

It was supposed to arrive earlier this year, but, as you can guess (or might already be aware if you ordered one yourself), Stuff Happened.

When I ordered it, I added the option for Mac-variant keycaps. That, it turned out, was a separate package.

The keycaps supposedly arrived months ago, around the time both were supposed to arrive. (I got both tracking numbers the same day.) Tracking said that package was delivered at my address. Guess what: I didn't receive it. I opened a USPS investigation and they said the delivery geolocation indeed did not match the address it was supposed to be delivered to (whereupon I double-checked that my order address was correct, which it was)… and that was the last I heard about that.

The keyboard, meanwhile, sat idle. No updates on its tracking number from creation.

Until last week.

After production delays, shipping delays, and finally customs delays, the keyboard finally arrived.

And… so did the keycaps! Opened, mysteriously enough, but unharmed—all the keycaps are there.

I still need to set it all up, including swapping the keycaps, but I'm happy this is finally almost over.

(“almost” because the keyboard arrived postage due. The company says this is because the shipping labels expired(!) after 28 days and they'll reimburse anyone who has to cough up postage to the USPS. I get to do that tomorrow.)

in reply to @boredzo's post:

I'm separated from my ErgoDox at the moment due to reasons, and I need to do setup on the Keyboardio that I'm too tired for, so I'm typing on my Matias Ergo Pro—a staggered keyboard, rather than ortholinear—for the first time in months. This skill is hella atrophied; I keep expecting the letters to be in neat columns and they aren't on this keyboard.

At least part of the problem is that the Ergo Pro is a split keyboard, like the ErgoDox and Keyboardio. I don't have problems typing on my laptop, but typing on a split keyboard, my brain wants to shift into ErgoDox Mode.
