I'm one book away from finishing the “Aurora Cycle” trilogy, so I'm starting to look toward what series I'm going to start on next.
- Fiction. I have more non-fiction than I have time or interest to listen to. I want escapism.
- Genres: Urban fantasy or sci-fi
- Previously enjoyed audiobooks:
- “Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy” Primary and Secondary Phases
- “World War Z” (original release)
- “Sandman Slim” series
- “Aurora Cycle” trilogy
- Big plus: Overall positive vibe (the expanded edition of “World War Z” is under an “in case of emergency break glass” because it is very much not light or fluffy). – YA is OK (“Aurora” is YA) but not a requirement
- Plus: Good queer rep
- Plus: Good ND rep
- Plus: Full cast (notice how three of the four above are full-cast productions)
- Plus: Available on Libro.fm (I can buy on Audible but would prefer not to)
- Big minuses: Plots where “Everybody sucks here”, plots powered by shitty communication skills, etc.
