lmao the caps in the machine dont have the scored tops and mostof them are cracked down the side. def needs a good recapping. belts too and it should run. a good clean and relubing and itll become a nice lil guy to play with

holy fuck it actually works. it had the same fucking issue as my cassette player. a lever just got knocked past its range and needed to be reset in its proper place. holy fuck lmao . SAME FUCKING ISSUE. AMAZING. NO NOTICEABLE WOW AND FLUTTER EITHER. WWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. FUCKIN NOTHING BUT Ws FOR SIERRA TODAY

My dad had a reel-to-reel when I was little. I have the old turntable but that tape machine is long gone, unfortunately.

Oh, cool! I sort of assumed that by now the people who make all the weird old stuff super expensive would have gotten to them! I just got a semi-working ebay oscilloscope working so I can display oscilloscope music on it, which was a fun old electronics project.

theyve gotten to the high end ones, but those ones were never really cheap to begin with. and even those mostly dont go for all that much (at least in terms of high end vintage audio lol. stil quite expensive, especially if theyre well serviced). this one cost me 30 bucks and a few hours of my time driving on a beautiful day to pick it up from a quaint little house in one of the dc suburbs where the rich people with good taste and nothing to prove live tucked away in the woods. its been a good day lol
