who fought back against their lifelong suicidality and "won" by the only reasonable definition of the term
who held it off just long enough to die unexpectedly from some other cause
who awakened on the other side of the Veil with that constant companion mysteriously absent
who made a perfunctory search for their Unfinished Business because that's what Ghosts are supposed to do, they're supposed to find it and Resolve it with the help of some friendly ghost-hunters and then Fade Away into the Oblivion they crave
who, having tied up the loose ends to their satisfaction, found themself still around, with no particular urge to Move On, and at a bit of a loss for what to do next
who haunted a few ancient tomes and learned they might not be a Ghost after all, but a Spirit
who, against all odds, so loved the world that they stayed around, forever and ever
