you can just install another launcher on an android. you dont have to use whatever bullshit homescreen program comes with the phone. i use adw launcher 2 because it has desktop cube. also its backward compatible to android 2.3 and was last updated in 2018 so no real worry about it changing out from underneath you
well i say that. the original adw launcher was also abandoned around 2012 or 2014 and didnt get anything after that until a huge surprise version 2 update in 2018 which did change it underneath me but they kept adw 1 around for a bit so it was fine. been quiet on the front since. i gotta respect the approach. they come, they drop best in class software, they dip. may we all strive to be like anderweb
