congrats to musegroup for making me have to downgrade audacity to a useable version and add it to my ignorepkg list
If you're bummed about what happened to audacity, maybe Saucedacity Tenacity is worth a look
These guys have been working on this since Audacity decided to put
malware
in whatever version they did that to. Old versions of Audacity were FOSS, baby, you fuck up, the invisible hand of the internet weirdos who love free software will correct it, often later fucking it up themselves, but hey, the circle of life continues.
Anyway, these guys haven't put out a "stable" release yet but they do offer nightlies and they are actively developing (like I see a commit here in the codebase from yesterday)
Anyway, useful info, IMO.
