ok. ordered another 5tb drive to replace the one that died months ago [and took my entire video media collection with it :( ]. been running on one drive with only the most important things (music, calibre library, some other things) backed up on a cold drive. gonna move the current drive to my rpi server thats been out of service since the drive died and replace it with the new one.
also worried this current drive is gonna crap out soon. i already had to rip out its usb controller board when it stopped working and been limping with an external sata to usb cable for a bit. its getting pretty old and it has shit i care about more than video media on it. i need to build an actual nas at some point. need some redundancy
