new non linux phone getting here today :( god i wish i couldve make the pinephone work for me. i tried very hard. i could deal with most of the jank and poor performance and (to put it lightly) lackluster functionality but realizing the modem errors i was getting were people on signal trying to text me was the straw. fuck u signal for not having a linux main client but i need signal. very sad day for me. i want the pinephone to work as my phone

makes sense. we're working hard on trying to make it more useful to ourselves, and for us, we don't really have any requirement for our phone to .... WORK. plus we basically don't go anywhere, ever, because we're still observing pandemic precautions, so we have a laptop as fallback if we really need it.
