Did you know that Big Bird was supposed to be on the Challenger? Can you imagine millions of kids watching Big Bird explode?
Just finished reading Dune Messiah. It's.... not great? It kind of comes together right at the end. But for most of the book I just felt like I had no idea what the hell was happening. It so much more vague and so much less precise than the first book.
I don't know what a film of it would even look like. I'll definitely watch it if it gets made, though. I think they could really improve upon it and tell the story in a more effective way.
I could also just do entirely without the tiny subplot of people trying to get Paul to bone his sister.
I just watched Road House, the 1989 film starring Patric Swayze. Given who I am as a person and my general taste, I should absolutely love it.
I mean, I love bar fights in film and TV. They never get old. And this movie has a fair number of them. And of course, Swayze is reliably great. The soundtrack is excellent.
And yet, I really did not love it. About 1/2 way through the film is a truly terrible sex scene. Probably the worst I've seen in a movie. And after that, the film just gets so ridiculous, so fast that it lost me.
I'm sorry to say this, but I do not like Road House.
I have seen an astonishing number of people who are totally cool with microtransactions in a $70 single player game.
I just..... I really miss the days when you could not only buy a whole ass game for full retail price, but you could also go on the internet and find cheat codes to unlock even more content.
