in reply to @braindeadcharlotte's post:

If you just want blinkies and no fancy formatting (no animated backgrounds/card layouts/bouncing text etc), you can embed gifs (and other images) with markdown:
![alt text](https://image url/)
This also works in comments!
welcome to my homepage

my username 100% checks out here, i dont understand how to make it like- read it as code and not just text? i pasted that with the link i want inside, with and without the ' things and its just showing up as "alt text"
same with color code but that just made all the text inside that shouldve been red just disappear! not sure what im doing wrong lol

EDIT: IT WORKED TYSM

...Actually it doesn't look like it worked to me? You have to remove the `s
Also I just realized you meant your profile profile, not your introduction post. CSS doesn't work at all outside of posts, it's markdown only. Sorry for the confusion

all good!! im messin with it right now, not saved i dont think, but they should definitely be working if the preview pre-save is accurate! do you happen to know how one would center an embed? little blinkies align to the left which is maddening

alternatively a way to make them side by side if not too wide, they seem todefault go to a new line no matter the size

ABSOLUTELY feel free to just not respond if this is taking mental time from you or anything! no obligation to keep helping youve already answered my original question! haha

I don't mind at all, I'm happy to help!
Changing the alignment or putting multiple in one line would only be possible with css as far as I know. Probably your best bet is to make a version of the gif that's padded with empty space on the sides.
