Put a record on and plugged in headphones for the first time. Third eye creaked open, just a sliver. What a musical intimacy
Getting home from work exhausted this week, decompressing flat on the floor with them headphones and a record. Going through whole albums in one shot is just something I hardly ever really did. Always always bouncing between tapes, cds (bless those multi-disc changers), and then files. Making me realize its value anew; LP as cohesive musical expression, the reappraisal of B-sides, and so.... Hell, just B-side or D-side as a concept? Doesn't really figure much in the modern landscape, but even a modern release put to this older format lends a certain "private" quality to those tracks after the flip
