Old web appreciation post. Sci-fi author C.J. Cherryh and her partner Jane Fancher have just kept their websites in stasis. (Wayback machine required for Fancher's blog where you can read about her ball and joint doll hobby.) They do have a separate, updated blog where they continue life and health updates (they are in their 80's and 70's now), but it's populated by a steady cast of aging commenters and community. One individual in particular for a long time would routinely post their own ongoing cat stories on whatever blog post, oblivious to length or context. Just a small pocket of evaporating web life still rustling in the reeds.
