And like, I was excited.
Face-Off is a crappy Syfy original sub-Inkmaster sub-ForgedinFire reality TV competition for doing movie makeup creature shop prosthetic stuff. Like Blown Away for people obsessed with the The Grinch.
And so when it was suddenly being advertised from Netflix on my phone (which, first, is a read) I assumed they were bringing it back! Like they did with Queer Eye! Lavishly produced Netflix money Face-off! That'll suck, I can't wait!
But no, it's just like, seasons 4 and 5? From 2012? With a 2023 year stamped on them? What?? The notification says New!
So what, they're telling the world that they've secured the Rights to the venerable Face-Off property? Finally, the tiktokers and zoomers rejoice, Netflix now hosts everyone's favorite show Face-Off.
Like SyFy is owned by NBC but this show isn't on Peacock.
A Netflix intern was rooting around in the dumpster behind NBC and found Face-Off and threw it up on their site after hosing it down.
