Ok I've never signed up for it myself so I don't know anything about it but is there any reason we haven't been mostly migrating to Pillowfort? Isn't it long form too? It feels like it'd make more sense than bsky where everyone seems to be going to. What are the Flaws? Is it too fandomy like Tumblr is?

Agree that I was surprised the bluesky has been such a popular choice but tbh might be a bit of a domino effect. I defin felt the "oh well lots of people are going there so I should check it out" effect. I know there's the weirdness with a group of pillowfort chronicling cohost events even after people involved asked them to stop but I'm not sure how widespread that was throughout the website and what the vibe check is beyond that.

I think for some of us, there's beef with Pillowfort's users.
I remember a while ago there was some drama about people on Pillowfort chronicling the various discourses on Cohost, and presenting it as bad-faith examples of Cohost being a bad website.

Yeah, this is basically it. I have no idea how representative those people are of the wider pillowfort culture, but since most peoples here's only experience with pillowfort is people there being extremely weird and aggressive about cohost users, it certainly didn't give me confidence that the site has a culture that would be welcoming.
