Yes

  • Chainsaw Man: Sometimes I feel like trauma has left me with a pull cord in my chest that I have to tug on to self-destructively pursue my career goals, y'know?
  • Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury: I am still not convinced this isn't going to spiral into some massive disappointment but thus far? Thus far? This rules.
  • Spy x Family: It's more Spy x Family. This may very well be just the best show on television right now.

Maybe

  • Akiba Maid War: I just keep wondering if this is going somewhere or if it's just kind of gratuitous, but for now the show's One Joke is still funny to me
  • The Raven of the Inner Palace: Initially this seemed like Extremely My Shit - a mix of murder mystery, high fantasy palace intrigue, and courtly romance. But I am wary that it undermines its own main character too much in hurrying to set up its romance.

No

  • Do It Yourself!: I just find this boring, honestly. It very, very occasionally delivers an inspired visual gag or joke but you have to wade through so much treacly pacing to get to them. Some people are going to love the shit out of this show but I personally don't have the attention span (and I was picturing something with Eizouken's energy when I picked it up).

in reply to @bruno's post:

I'm not a big Gundam person so I'm maybe not the best person to ask. But it takes place in a separate continuity (like some other Gundam shows), so the only connections to the broader Gundam franchise are thematic, there's no specific plot or characters you'd need to know.

DIY is the runaway favorite of my Wednesday night anime crew, haha. My Master Has No Tail and Bocchi the Rock have been cute so far, also! The latter is by the director of ACCA 13, which I thought was really special.

I’ve also been watching the final arc of Bleach, but I haven’t seen any Bleach since uhh… 2004? Standard shounen criticisms apply, but it’s been fun to show up at the deeply convoluted endgame with very little context and just enjoy the rollercoaster.
