  • So this show is overall a lot less deranged than that feature length first episode led us to believe, huh
  • I still do love the premise of entertainment industry ladder climbing as a revenge plot.
  • Ultimately the best parts of the show (post episode 1) are the showbiz procedural. I love these kinds of stories anyway. My favorite small thing in this show is the tiny arc with the mangaka reacting to her work being adapted.
  • I'm still not sure where I sit with this show going into a second season. This wasn't consistently delivering 30 minutes of incredibly compelling material in the way Kaguya-sama does, but it's still... good? But abstractly good? It's a slower burn and I'm very impatient.
  • The animation here is really remarkably good, almost 'unnecessarily' so; very few animated shows that are mostly about characters sitting and talking are this well animated.

I'm so much at the same opinion. It's gooood, I enjoyed myself enough, but I also wished there was mooore plot happening than actually happened. Especially following up on everything from episode 1. I'm impatient AF on this one. Almost wanted to read ahead in the manga.

It sounds like the next arc is a deep dive into '2.5d theater', which is something I had no idea existed and which sounds fascinating, so I'm looking forward to it (but I'm not going to read ahead)
