Deinonychus (the largeish dinosaur Jurassic Park "velociraptors" most closely resemble) is known more from juvenile and subadult specimens than from adults, and a notable thing about these specimens is that their limbs are proportionally much longer than the adults', and have a somewhat different shape.

This has led some to speculate that it might have had a climbing, gliding, or even flying lifestyle, and would then transition to being a ground-bound predator as it matured. Like if the same animal in different life stages filled the ecological niches of both eagles and pumas.
