Every single YouTube thumbnail you see going "[video game] is WOKE NOW" is entirely driven by dudes who just needed the SEO from talking about the latest game release. It's literally an assembly line process now: game comes out, recycle the same talking points, launch a video, reap low-value engagement from chodes while you can. I'm just continuously made insane by how the fucked up seismic event that was gamergate is now literally just this shitty little cottage industry infinitely churning out the same video forever and ever about whatever the main video game release of the week was.

I’ve curated my YouTube recs to mostly avoid seeing this shit by now when I’m logged in, but any time I like crack open an incog or private window it’s just a goddamn SEA of these and it’s so disappointing.
