It is true though that when a resin printer is hitting these absurd sub-$200 price points... what is stopping you, tabletop gaming nerds? Why spend hundreds of dollars on useless kickstarter plastic when you can make your own useless plastic in your own home (in a well ventilated space on account of the fumes)? How close are we to the print and play miniatures game revolution?
okay I'm getting serious replies to this so I should clarify this is a semi shitpost, absolutely nobody should buy a resin printer as a sane and normal alternative to just buying your plastic waste off kickstarter like God intended. a resin printer is basically a vat of toxic chemicals that you sometimes pull barely-cured plastic out of. it is a thing that you can have in your house, but if you do it's kind of your lifestyle – like a cockatiel or a sex swing
