The thing about minimalism in interior design is that it only works and feels 'minimalist' if your small amount of furniture is wildly out of scale with the space, like you have one tiny sofa floating in the middle of a big living room. This, of course, unveils the ugly truth at the heart of minimalism, which is that it's very expensive to be a minimalist.
