Finished Persona 3: Reload! I gotta say the last month of that game feels a bit like a slog. There's not a lot to do in the evenings but go to the dungeon over and over and grind levels/items, meanwhile all your s-links are neatly sorting themselves into 'will max before the game ends' and 'won't max before the game ends'; for the last week or so, I legit ran out of things to do that would progress something meaningfully.

Still. I like the Persona games, even though I can see all the criticism people have of them. They are, inescapably, a vibe.

I wonder if I should revisit another of the Shin Megami Tensei games that I didn't finish (or never tried). Make your case for your favorite non-Persona SMT game in the comments.

i really really love nocturne!! even more of a vibe than persona imo (speaking as an absolute simp for persona 3 and 4 LOL), just absolutely pitch perfect visual direction and style, and its a good game too. (imo play the ps2 version emulated, not the remaster which messes up a lot of the cool art style!!)

I really like the tactical combat in the Devil Survivor games, and the premise of a group of people banding together and struggling to survive after god suddenly decided to end the world is pretty interesting I think. I prefer the second game to the first since I found the endings in the first game unsatisfying and from what I can remember the characters in 2 were better.
