one of my fav details in back to the future is marty trying to crack open a glass soda bottle and his young dad just cracking the lid on the side of a mailbox. marty is kinda confused and taken aback at how easily and casually the Dorky Dad did that.
a car being made of a material that isn't bottle openy would be more confusing. at least the seatbelt!
