can we all just agree that while the walt disney corporation can invent whatever stupid fairyland job titles it wants we should not be furthering their brand by playing into their game and therefore we should never seriously refer to someone as a fucking 'imagineer'? there's already a term for someone with technical knowledge who is also a creative, it's 'designer'

I find it hilarious how territorial Disney is within the company about the "Imagineer" title. I know someone who worked on an internal Disney team, with 100% ex-Imagineers, doing the same sort of work they did in Imagineering, but they were absolutely the fuck NOT allowed under ANY circumstances to call themselves "Imagineers" in their current team/role.
