Yeah it was alarmingly recently, and during a conversation with an employee of one-but-not-the-other, that I found this out.
It's not even like "an acquisition happened and now it's confusing", 2K was founded explicitly as a Take-Two subsidiary.
The closest we've gotten in real life is an arm-wrestling match between CEOs over a slogan, back in 1992.
