I promise yall you do not have to turn "putting your game on steam vs itch" into a discourse, lol

I cannot think of a less useful or interesting topic to turn into a moral crusade. There is truly no benefit to anyone because everyone has already made the decisions they're going to make based on their personal circumstances. No dev is unaware of their store options on PC. Arguing over it is just litigating a decision everyone has already considered and reached in their own time. There's no hearts and minds to be won - just exhausting yelling.

I mean I've certainly never had control over it but I get the impression this argument is primarily happening between lead devs of very small games, where i guess this can Become a controversy, even though IMO everyone's reasons for doing what they are are pretty self-evident across the board
