Nothing about the NYT crossword annoys me more than the golf references. I don’t care if ‘tee’ is a useful cross, golf is a repellent sport played only by reprobates. Just because a man would rather wander a lawn desert for six hours than spend time with his family doesn’t mean he should get a gimme on a Friday puzzle.
