All I've been thinking since I was first made aware of this news is "Blind Ape Yacht Club" and I hate myself for thinking it because even if they're idiots who bought into monkey JPEGs they don't deserve to have idiot conventions that are so mismanaged they're actively harmful to their health.

did they just source “uv lights” thinking they were the same as blacklights? what if they purposefully did it for “cleanliness reasons???
this has happened once before, at a "Hypebeast" event also in Hong Kong. I believe it happened because whoever was designing the event space wanted blacklights that also emit a "cool" blue light in addition to UV (in the sense of bored ape guys thinking "fuck this looks so cool")
This also happened on the set of one of the "Underworld" movies probably for the same reason
